Projects

Organize files, instructions, memories, and generated work around the things you're actually doing.

Projects keep your work organized around real goals — not just a stream of chats. Each project bundles the files, instructions, memories, and generated output that belong together.

Where to do it

Projects live under Works → Projects (sidebar). From there you can create a project, open one, and see everything inside it: files, instructions, memories, generated works, and its chats.

Opening a project re-orients your AI to that project's context — start a new chat inside the project to work on it, and the generated files land in the project's workspace.

What a project contains

  • Files — documents and data relevant to the project, uploaded and indexed.
  • Instructions — standing rules for how your AI should work within this project.
  • Memories — facts your AI remembers across sessions, so you don't repeat context.
  • Generated works — the files and artifacts your AI produced here.
  • Chats — conversations tied to the project, with the same context.

Why projects matter

  • Context stays put. Switch projects and your AI re-orients to that project's files and instructions — no re-explaining.
  • Work is findable. Generated files live next to the project that produced them, not lost in a global list.
  • Teams and repeat processes can reuse a project's setup: same files, same instructions, same memories.

Memories: what your AI remembers

Memories are short, durable facts your AI stores about you or your work — preferences, decisions, facts learned during conversations. They persist across sessions, so a later chat doesn't start from zero.

Manage memories in Settings → Memory (account-wide and per-persona views), or inline in a project under Works → Projects — add, edit, or delete any fact. You stay in control of everything your AI remembers.

  • Add memories explicitly or let the AI surface facts worth remembering.
  • Edit or delete any memory — you stay in control.
  • Memories are scoped: project memories stay in the project, persona memories stay with the persona.

Working inside a project

Open a project, attach your files (or reference already-attached knowledge), set the instructions once, and chat. When the AI generates something — a PDF, a slide deck, a spreadsheet — it lands in the project's workspace, previewable and downloadable.

Projects pair naturally with the loop: the knowledge is the same GATHER data, just organized per goal.
