KNOW — Create your AI

The guided interview that captures what your AI is for, how you speak, and where its limits are — in about five minutes.

KNOW is the first step of the loop: a short, guided interview that turns you into a profile your AI can follow.

It's not a form and it's not a blank prompt box. The interview adapts to your answers — the more specific you are, the more specific it asks.

Where to do it

In the app, click Create in the sidebar to open the Build your AI wizard — KENAL is its first step. You can also reach the interview from Personas → create new.

The interview is one question at a time, and your progress is saved in the URL — refresh or close the tab and come back later without losing your answers.

What the interview captures

The result is your AI's persona profile:

  • Identity — what your AI is called and what it's for.
  • Voice — how it speaks: formal or casual, your typical phrases, language.
  • Domain — your field's vocabulary, the terms and concepts it should know.
  • Boundaries — what it should never do, and where it should stop and ask.
  • Example answers — 2-3 "how would you answer this" samples that lock in the style.

Goal-driven, not template-locked

The interview starts from one question: "What do you want your AI to do?"

  • A personal AI — called by your name, knows your story, replies like you.
  • A work helper — drafts, reports, questions, content for your field.
  • A customer responder — answers customers in your tone, following your SOPs.

Whatever you pick, the follow-up questions adapt. There are ready-made starting points for common professions — teachers, clinics, developers, small businesses — but they're shortcuts, not cages. An AI that just "knows you" is just as valid and just as fully supported.

How it connects to the rest of the loop

  • Your persona becomes the identity layer of your AI (this is setup, not training — a ready-made model is customized to follow your profile).
  • Your answers point to the kind of data you'll bring in GATHER — a teacher's syllabus, a clinic's SOPs, a shop's FAQ.
  • Everything is assembled automatically in SHAPE.

After the interview

Your answers build a persona — you'll find it under Personas in the sidebar, where you can edit it, re-interview, or delete it. The wizard then moves you to KUMPUL (feed data) — see GATHER.

Tips for a sharper persona

  • Be specific about your field. "I teach mathematics" is good; "I teach grade 8 mathematics and use the national curriculum" is better.
  • Give one or two example answers. They do more for consistency than a paragraph of description.
  • Set real boundaries. A boundary your AI actually follows is worth more than a long list it ignores.
  • Iterate. You can edit the persona and re-interview later — the profile is never final.

Next: GATHER — connect your data.
